💜 Supporting Social-Emotional Growth Through Prevention, Skill Building, and Connection 💜
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons help students develop the skills needed to manage emotions, build positive relationships, solve problems, make responsible decisions, and succeed both academically and socially.
Lessons are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and designed to support the whole child through classroom instruction, small groups, hands-on activities, movement, discussion, and play-based learning experiences.
The counseling program utilizes evidence-based and research-informed practices while recognizing that every student has unique strengths, needs, backgrounds, and learning styles. Strategies, lessons, and interventions are thoughtfully adapted based on professional training, school counseling experience, student responsiveness, and individual student needs in order to provide the most meaningful and effective support possible.
*Classroom lessons are held on a weekly to every-other-week basis. Based on classroom availability.*
