I am Millie, Head Coach and Founder of MJM FITNESS COACHING.
Choosing your coach is an important part of your fitness journey and that is why I wanted to share a little about myself so you can get to know me.
Based in Milton Keynes but originally from Kent, I am a now full time Strength and Nutrition Coach offering 1-1 online coaching and 1-1 personal training. I live with my boyfriend Barney and our little black cat Marmalade.
I went to university in 2015 to study International Relations at Royal Holloway, University of London. After studying a module on African Politics, I decided I wanted to study Africa's history, international politics and civil society a little bit more, so decided to study a Masters degree at SOAS, University of London in African Politics. After graduating in 2019, I started my career working for an African charity focused on human and economic rights. Unfortunately the COVID pandemic hit and I was furloughed without a return to work date. This made me think about my future and I decided to apply for the UK Civil Service where I worked at the heart of international trade policy for three years. I had multiple roles across policy and communications but the majority of my career was spent in private office. I learnt so much working in central government, made some great memories, built my career but my heart was very much in starting my own coaching business. During my time in the Civil Service I became a qualified Personal Trainer and once I was qualified, I decided it was now the right time to make the first step towards my dreams.
Fast forward two years and I am now an established coach who has already supported countless individuals with their fitness journeys. However I wanted to further develop my own learning to support my clients and build my business further and in 2025, I became a qualified Sports Nutrition Coach. This has enabled me to expand my services to provide nutrition only coaching and I have since supported clients with both performance and physique based goals such as bodybuilding, Hyrox competitions and marathons.
Aside from my education and professional career, my own training is something that I take very seriously. I am a competitive physique athlete, competing in multiple bodybuilding competitions across the last three years. I am also a very keen runner, although yet to sign up for my first half marathon. I also love hiking and going for trips away to explore the UK (that's me at Snowdon's summit, Nov 25). In 2024 I completed my first fitness competition (Hyrox) and prior to this, I played Netball throughout school and university, competed in athletics at county level and played most sports at school. Sport has always been an important part of my life and is something I have been doing since a very young age, which is why I just had to build a business around physical activity to promote a healthy balanced lifestyle through fitness coaching.
