Do I need to run the entire race?
No. Participants may run, walk, or use a combination of both.
How long is the course?
The course is 5 kilometers, which is approximately 3.1 miles.
Is the race timed?
Yes. We will have a race clock near the finish line.
Can children participate?
Yes.
Are strollers permitted?
Yes.
Are dogs permitted?
Yes. As long as the dog will not impede other runners.
Can I register on race day?
Race day registration may be available if event capacity remains. Event shirts and participant materials may not be guaranteed for race day registrations.
What happens if it rains?
The race will take place rain or shine. It may be delayed, modified, or canceled if severe weather creates unsafe conditions.
Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds support water-related engineering, education, service, and community partnership efforts within West Virginia and the Appalachian Region.
Can I volunteer instead of running?
Yes. Volunteers may assist with setup, registration, water stations, course support, photography, finish line activities, and cleanup.
Are registration fees refundable?
Generally no, unless the event is canceled due to unforseen circumstances.
