Department of Biosciences and Technology under the School of Sciences and Environment Studies, MIT WPU is a young and dynamic department established in 2019. The Department offers industry-oriented undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs that focus on contemporary and future-oriented technical and scientific knowledge in the fields of biological sciences, biotechnology, and bioengineering. The Department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and these facilities allow students to gain hands-on experience and develop technical skills. In addition, the Department offers internships, industry visits, and immersion programs at local, national, and international locations, as well as regular interactions with practicing professionals and researchers. The department also has industry collaborations and skill development training programs to help students become industry-ready professionals. These opportunities allow students to gain real-world experience and prepare for careers in the industry.

About School of Food Technology and Nutrition, Loyola Academy
Loyola Academy (LA), a spacious eco-friendly campus with excellent infrastructure is managed and administered by the Catholic clergy, popularly called Jesuits of the Andhra Jesuit Province, belonging to the Society of Jesus (founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola), an International Catholic Religious Order. Loyola Academy was founded by Rev Fr T. Balaiah SJ in 1976 in Alwal, Secunderabad, Telangana. Initially began with Intermediate courses and an associate degree in Chemical technology. Subsequently, other UG programs (1978) and PG programs (1993) were started. Loyola Academy was granted Autonomous status in 1992 for Degree courses and PG courses in 2010. Appreciating the achievements and qualitative pursuit of Higher Education needs, UGC awarded Loyola Academy "A College with Potential for Excellence" (CPE) in 2008. In addition to this, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) was accredited by the college in the year 2005 and reaccredited in the year 2011 with 'A' grade (3.50 out of 4.00 CGPA). The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked our College between 100-150 for both (2017-18 & 2018-19) successive years. The Institution offers a unique, unrivaled array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, imparting its students: potential skills that are highly relevant in today's market and aims at molding young minds into extraordinary individuals, who love what they do, thereby enabling young men and women to master new concepts and emerge as confident professionals in their chosen domains. The School of Food Technology and Nuttrition offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Food Technology and Management and Food Science, Nutrition & Dietetics. The courses are designed to produce competent technologists, scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs in Food Technology through quality education. The department also focuses on upgrading the scientific knowledge in the areas of food technology, food processing, and food safety for the development of food products through quality research.
