Early Years English and Mathematics Online Interview FAQs

What is the Early Years Interview for? The Early Years English and Maths Interview is an assessment that all children complete before they commence their first year of school. It gives the teachers an opportunity to meet and connect with their students prior to the year beginning and gives an outline of their  current literacy and numeracy skills. This helps ensure that our learning program meets all our students' point of need and gives us a brief insight to them as a person and learner!

Is it Online? No, the interview takes place at school, in your child's classroom. It is all completed by your childs' teacher through an online portal.

What do we need to bring on the day? On the day, you might like to drop your child at the office with a water bottle and hat. We will meet you there and will bring your child back to the office following the interview. Parents are not required to attend the interview. 

Can I change my interview time? We are endeavouring to have all interviews completed before Monday the 5th of February (First Day of Prep). If only certain days/hours suit you, please contact the office and we can try our best to accommodate!
