Taking tests is an important life skill.
Tests can give information that can help guide instruction.
They can show what a student knows and opportunities for learning.
Tests can show how children have grown academically over time.
Showing grade level student growth helps in our school's charter renewal process, WASC accreditation, and demonstrates our programs are working!
Since the majority of MVA's testing takes place remotely, we're asking our learning coaches to help ensure that students follow our school's testing guidelines as outlined in the Remote Testing Agreement, which was signed in the Homeschool Hub. Here is a copy for your review. Your role in this is really valuable — it helps us ensure that scores are valid, meaning your student completed the assessment independently, without outside assistance or AI tools.
