Launched in October 2024, this Padlet served as a foundation that supported us in exploring and understanding the PYP Exhibition.
Here’s a glimpse of our journey toward the Exhibition, guided by various pre-exhibition activities, reflections, and introductory tasks—all of which helped us gain a clearer understanding of what PYP X will entail.
PYP Framework
Making connections with PYP framework, highlighting its connection to transdisciplinary themes, learner profile attributes, action, approaches to learning and teaching.
Bridging Global Goals: Connecting Transdisciplinary Themes & the UNSDGs
We explored the alignment between transdisciplinary themes and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), fostering deeper connections between our learning and real-world global challenges.
Learner Profile Attributes
We identified two learner profile attributes that resonate with us and utilized visual thinking routines to articulate our understanding effectively.
Murder Mystery
We collaboratively analyzed a murder mystery passage, identifying suspects, gathering evidence, and developing reasoning skills. Throughout the investigation, we also reflected on the social, self-management, thinking, and communication skills applied during the process.
3 A's - Agency, Advocacy and Action
We explored the meanings of "action," "agency," and "advocacy" through in-depth research and investigation, utilizing a variety of resources. To organize our insights effectively, we employed the Cornell note-taking method, ensuring clarity and deeper understanding.
The Power of Feedback and Feedforward
We see feedback and feedforward as essential tools on our journey of growth and discovery. Receiving thoughtful feedback helps us celebrate our strengths while uncovering opportunities to improve, guiding us to refine our ideas and deepen our understanding. Equally, feedforward offers proactive, actionable advice that empowers us to set clear goals and confidently move forward in our learning. Together, these practices inspire us to take ownership of our progress, embrace challenges with a positive mindset, and present our projects with clarity and purpose.
Spotting the Issues: A Closer Look!
We created a mind map and jotted down the issues we see around us. This brainstorming session helped us visualize and categorize various concerns. The process encouraged critical thinking, and we gained a deeper understanding of these issues by identifying their causes.
