Vespers/Pit Orchestra

This page is used to list rehearsals and performances pertaining to the December 7, 2025 Vespers Concert and the March 20-22, 2026 MHS musical, both of which involve members of the MHS orchestra program. 

Instrumentalists for the Vespers Concert will rehearse the pieces listed on the following days during Advisory in the choir room.

Monday, October 13 meet and look at the music/make a few markings

Monday, November 17 Bring a Torch Jeanette, Isabella

Monday, November 24 Kwanzaa Celebration

Monday, December 1 Brightest and Best and Silent Night

Saturday, December 6 Rehearsal with the singers, 10:00 am - noon in the MHS auditorium

Sunday, December 7 Vespers Concert, 3:00 pm, MHS auditorium

Y'Mei HaChanukah and Tidings of Comfort and Joy will be rehearsed during a White 1 class.

Snowfall at Dusk is an orchestra piece that will be played at the beginning of the Vespers Concert. String players will learn this in orchestra class because it will be performed at the Orchestra/Choir Winter Concert.
