Itinerary for the trip:
April 5 - Depart for Orlando; lunch and dinner en route (money distributed)
April 6 - All meals included - Breakfast at Launchpad Orlando; Universal Studios; Islands of Adventure; City Walk; Lunch and Dinner in the Park; hotel check-in (overnight security provided)
April 7 - All meals included - Breakfast at the hotel; band performance; Hollywood Studios; Lunch and Dinner in the Park; Fantasmic!
April 8 - All meals included - Breakfast at the hotel; choir and orchestra workshops; Magic Kingdom; Lunch and Dinner in the Park
April 9 - All meals included - hotel check-out; EPIC Universe; depart for home
April 10 - All meals enroute (money distributed), arrive home
All payments are done online at www.musictravel.com; deposit must be paid to secure a spot. Once the trip reaches capacity, others will be added to the wait list.
Exact per person price will be set based on active number of participants 30 days prior to departure.

MHS has been taking this trip every four years since the early 2000s, giving each high school music student the opportunity to travel to Florida. In 2023, we were able to take four buses of students and chaperones. The band will perform a stage concert at Disney Springs, the orchestra will participate in an instrumental workshop, and the choir will participate in a vocal workshop. The performance and workshops are expenses included in the price of the trip; the performance is dependent upon an application/acceptance process.
We are using a new travel company (Music Travel Consultants) and all trip payments will be made online (no more cash and checks coming into the school building). Before the payments begin, Music Travel Consultants will present the full package and total cost to all interested travelers.
The music department groups will have different fundraising opportunities available in spring and fall 2026 for students to raise money for this trip.
The trip includes:
round-trip transportation via charter coach
3 nights stay at an Orlando hotel
8 meals
2 days at Universal Orlando Resort (all three parks)
2 days at Walt Disney World Parks (Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios)
professional workshop and/or performance opportunities
hotel security
Please note - all students must meet the following criteria to travel with the MHS music department:
no school social probation for the 2026-2027 school year
no out-of-school suspensions (OSS) during the 2026-2027 school year
no unexcused absences from music performances during the 2026-2027 school year.
