Do I have to attend all of the days of MTOP?
Yes, MTOP is required in it's entirety for new to MISD teachers. Other (non-teaching) professional new hires will attend the District Welcome, Luncheon, and other first day sessions on Tuesday, July 29th, then report to their Supervisor for duty assignments the remainder of the week.
What do I wear to MTOP?
Business casual, jeans acceptable. No shorts. On Wednesday, we ask all participants to wear their school colors. On Thursday, you will be given a new MISD shirt to wear.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a water bottle, comfy shoes, dress in layers, be on time and be ready to learn. If you have been issued your district-provided laptop, please bring it to MTOP (it is okay if you have not yet received it).
Childcare Information
We kindly ask that you make alternate childcare arrangements, as childcare will not be provided during MTOP and children are not permitted to attend. Thank you for your understanding!
When will I receive MTOP credit?
Credit is dependent on your credentials. Credit will be awarded within 4-6 weeks.
What about lunch?
Lunch will be provided on Tuesday for participants. Lunch will be on your own Wednesday and Thursday. Check out the Attendee 101 presentation for details about MTOP.
What if I am not a teacher, but I am new to MISD?
