Homework is designed for practice and reinforcement. All Homework, Just-In-Time (JIT) assignments, and quizzes must be accessed through Canvas, which will automatically direct you to WebAssign (WA).
π Do not log in to WebAssign directly, or your grades may not sync properly.
Just-In-Time (JIT) assignments consist of 1β7 short questions that focus on essential concepts you must understand in order to successfully complete the homework and quizzes. Think of JITs as a quick readiness check before moving forward.
A solution key may be provided so you can check your understanding and reflect on areas that need more review.
Even though work is submitted online, you are strongly encouraged to write out problems using proper notation, as shown in class or in the lecture videos. Writing things out builds stronger understanding and prepares you for quizzes and exams.
Homework may not always take a long time, but be sure to budget time each day to review and practice. Staying consistent is one of the biggest keys to success in this course.
Quizzes are designed to check your understanding of the material covered so far β think of them as mini practice exams.
There will be 8 quizzes total
Your lowest quiz score will be dropped at the end of the course
Quizzes must be accessed through Canvas, which will link you to WebAssign
β Important: Quiz due dates will be announced in class. It is your responsibility to attend class or check in with a classmate if you miss a day.
After each quiz, be sure to review any problems you missed and understand where your thinking went off track β this is one of the most effective ways to improve.
In our Calculus II class, active engagement is expected and valued. Participation includes:
β
Attending and being present during lectures
β

Your presence and contributions help create a strong, supportive learning environment β and I notice and appreciate it. π
Three exams and one final exam will be given. To prepare, students should review the assigned reading, homework questions, lecture notes, and the Practice Exams.Β Exams will be proctored in class.
