Welcome Senators and colleagues! This site provides resources and guidance for new and continuing members so we may participate in deliberative processes about academic professional matters with full confidence and certainty (see the Senate's Rules, Bylaws, and Resolutions page).
To achieve this goal, we aim to create a recursive, sustaining welcoming process in which we continuously update this resource, we devote time in meetings to ask and answer questions, and we commit to becoming an inclusive, humanized, and engaging Senate such that other district committees look to our committee practices and culture as a model to adopt and emulate.
The Academic Senate meets on the first and third Friday of each month from 9 - 11am. Brown Act rules require voting members to attend in person. AB 2449 provisions permit participate via Zoom twice per academic year under "just cause" circumstances or requested accommodations. The Zoom link for each meeting can be found on the agendas.
