Black men deserve to be treated as whole and human. The CARS project focuses on creating a more positive experience for Black men and their sexual health by centering the unique individual identities of the community. This intentional focus is made stronger via developing space for providers, practitioners, and community members to think critically about their experiences and the ways in which we collaboratively work together to improve those personal experiences.
The Culturally Responsive Services Series focuses on ensuring that providers and practitioners who engage in the sexual healthcare of black men in St. Louis are equipped with the tools, skills, and mindset to yield the greatest results. The series engages both community and practitioners through a process of unpacking implicit biases, educating participants around equity and advocacy, as well as diving deep into Race, Communication, and CLAS Standards.
