Planning for Transition - A Lunchtime Conversation for Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) Families
Learn about all the pieces of transition to adulthood for teens with disabilities, including long-term support programs, employment, SSI benefits, and life in the community.
In April, Covering Wisconsin will be our guest speaker, focusing on health insurance terms and concepts.
We will cover:
• The basics of insurance literacy and how parents and educators can help youth understand key insurance terms (premiums, deductibles, networks, co-pays)
• What to do if you cannot pay a medical bill
• How to find affordable health coverage and how to connect with a navigator
