Planning for Transition - A Lunchtime Conversation for Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) Families
Learn about all the pieces of transition to adulthood for teens with disabilities, like long-term care programs, employment, SSI benefits, and life in the community.
In February we will focus on the IRIS Program and community mapping, with guest speakers from TMG, Wisconsin’s first IRIS Consultant Agency.
We will cover:
• What is the Include, Respect, I Self-Direct (IRIS) Program, and what does it mean to
self-direct your supports
• How are budgets set and how do participants find services and providers
• How can community mapping help families find what their young adult needs
