MPL's Summer Reading Program
The Milwaukee Public Library is excited to announce its summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults! As always, summer with MPL fosters a love of reading and learning outside of school time.
Starting June 1, children and teens ages birth to 18 are invited to sign up for Summer Reading in the library or online. When they sign up, they’ll receive a free new book of their choice to take home and keep! Then, using a simple paper tracker, participants track the reading they do through the end of August. Picture books and chapter books, audiobooks and graphic novels, fiction and nonfiction—every kind of reading counts! We think thirty minutes of reading is a great daily goal, and one of the positive reading habits supported by summer with MPL. Families are encouraged to:
· Read every day
· Read what they love
· Read together
· Visit the library!
