Distribution
Millis Public Schools will provide all students in grades 2 - 12 a Chromebook and a Chromebook charger. The aim of this program is to promote communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among our students and teachers.
It is highly recommended that parents purchase optional insurance to protect against accidental damage. Information about insurance can be found by clicking the "Insurance and Break/Fix" tab underneath "Policy/Care/Insurance".
Receiving Your Chromebook
a. Distribution of Chromebooks
All students and parents/guardians are encouraged to review the Millis Public Schools 1:1 website. This website contains information regarding the Digital Learning and Technology Responsible Use Policy, BYOD protocol, the Chromebook Care & Use Guide, and the Optional Insurance Policy.
b. Device Distribution
Students in grades 2-5 will receive a Chromebook device on the first day of school, delivered to their classroom.
All 6-12 students who have opted into the Chromebook program and who already do not have a device in their possession will receive a Chromebook device on the first day of school, delivered to their classroom.
Students and parents/guardians choosing to Opt-Out of the program will be required to provide their own device to complete curricular activities.
