In Millis, we honor each student as an individual learner, recognizing that students have their own learning styles, interests, passions, challenges to learning, strengths, identities, and skills. We engage, support and challenge all students through varied and culturally responsive instructional approaches that help students take ownership of their learning. Students are afforded voice, choice and flexibility in how they learn and are allowed to demonstrate their understanding in various ways to improve student well-being and ensure that they are “future ready.”

Statement of Intent
It is the intent of the Millis Public School System to deploy chromebook devices and necessary peripherals to all students in grades 2-12. Only students in grades 6-12 will be taking these devices home. Students will be expected to utilize this equipment to complete curricular activities to assist in their learning experiences while preparing them for real world experiences, college readiness, and life-long learning. Equipment and peripherals will be delivered to the student as detailed in this document or at the time of deployment with the expectation that the student manages the health of the device throughout their experience in the Millis Public Schools (MPS). The equipment would then be returned at the end of the student’s enrollment or at a set interval for an upgrade as deemed by the technology department, in the best possible condition, considering expected use. Additional provisions are detailed below in regard to the expectations, maintenance, and repair of all equipment.
