Fifth Grade Homework Policy
Goal is to review and strengthen skills/content learned in class.
Assignments must be neat, complete and handed in on time.
If a child does not understand (math), they are asked to make a rigorous attempt and to show what work they could do to try to solve the problem.
Missing homework must be made up the following night. Parents are asked to sign the form sent home. After many missed assignments in one marking period, all missed work will be made up during recess.
Underlying goal is to build math and reading endurance and stamina,
as well as to build foundational understandings.
