This week MHS is hosting it's 3rd annual all school art show. We gave 2nd graders Kendall and Nora our camera to share with us their favorite pieces of the Art Show. Check out what pieces they liked.
It was great to see so much talent from grades K-12 in various types of media. We hope you had a chance to check out the show and see some of your art.

Going to a Major League Baseball game isn’t just about watching baseball—it's a complete experience. It depends on the stadium you go to, what teams are playing, and what time of year it is.
I’ve been to 10 Major League ballparks now, and I have to say the most fun thing to see at different stadiums is the food.
When you think of food at sporting events, you might think of:
The pretzel, The hot dog, Chicken tenders, Maybe some Cracker Jacks
But MLB food has expanded a lot, with every stadium trying to create its own unique ballpark food that helps attract fans from all over the country—or even all around the world.
Fenway Park (Boston Red Sox)
To start off basic, simple, and local—at Fenway Park, you have to go with a Fenway Frank.
Not to be biased, but a Fenway Frank is definitely the best ballpark hot dog I’ve ever had. It's unbelievable. Maybe it’s the vibe of being at Fenway that makes any food item better, but I’m telling you—a fresh Fenway Frank straight off the grill is unbeatable.
Fenway Park also just released some new food options, including:
The Cowboy Burger – which looks really good
The Soup Shack – a new food stand that has clam chowder and lobster bisque
I’ll definitely be trying those next time I go.
Camden Yards (Baltimore Orioles)
My next favorite MLB ballpark food has to be from Camden Yards. Go to Boog’s BBQ and, specifically, get:
The Pit Beef Sandwich with a side of mac and cheese
Also, if you're at Camden Yards, you have to try:
Crab Cake Sliders
Crab Cake Fries
Or at least have some crab dish while you're in Baltimore
Yankee Stadium (New York Yankees)
I’ve only been to Yankee Stadium once, but I had:
The Judge Burger
A Yankees Signature Shake
It was so good—probably the best food and drink combination I’ve ever had at a stadium.
If you want to shake things up, definitely try:
The Caribbean Beef Patty at the Caribbean Food Delights stand
I can’t wait to try that one.
Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia Phillies)
At Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies, you have to get a cheesesteak.
When I went, I went to Campo’s and got:
A Buffalo Cheesesteak – it was really good
The other place to go there is Tony Luke’s, but the line is always longer.
Chase Field (Arizona Diamondbacks)
Last on the list of MLB stadium foods I’ve tried: Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, home of the Diamondbacks.
One cool thing Chase Field does that no other stadium does is:
Design a hot dog for every opposing team
For example, when I went and the Diamondbacks were facing the Padres, they served The Padres Dog, which had:
Bacon, Avocado crema, Jalapeños
This sounded really good, but I just went with a regular hot dog—which was very solid.
The best things I had here were:
A Cinnamon Churro
Some Birria Tacos
With Phoenix having a large Latin American population, if you're in town, you have to try some tacos. They’re really good almost everywhere you go.
Now here are a few stadium foods I haven’t tried yet—from stadiums I’ve never been to:
Z-Man Sandwich at Joe’s Kansas City BBQ, Kauffman Stadium (Royals)
Includes brisket, provolone, onion rings, and BBQ sauce
Globe Life Field (Texas Rangers)
Buffalo Pulled Pork Sandwich
Bacon on a Stick served with Dr Pepper BBQ sauce
Coors Field (Colorado Rockies)
Todd Helton Burger with Helton Fries and a Helton Shake
T-Mobile Park (Seattle Mariners)
Ichi Wings – named after Mariners legend Ichiro Suzuki, one of the best contact hitters of all time
Overall, baseball is such a fun sport, and going to different MLB stadiums is one of my favorite things to do.
As I drive to college this year, I’m going to hit up 5 more MLB stadiums, and I’ll be looking forward to trying all of the unique food items that each stadium has to offer.
If I left out some of your favorite ballpark foods or you have any questions about different Major League Baseball stadiums, feel free to ask!
