Introduction Letter

The Millbury Morning care for grades Pre K – 6 is held at the Elmwood Street School. The director of the morning program is Michelle Gauthier. She can be reached by email: mgauthier@millburyschools.org or by phone 508 – 865 – 5241.

The staff at the Morning Program is a mix of adults and college age students that are full of energy and ready to prepare your child (ren) for their day. They take pride in their work and your child’s safety and well being is their top priority.

In addition to providing a safe environment for your child (ren), the morning program also provides daily activities, helps with homework, and encourages the students to get up and move. A typical morning includes: snack time (please pack an extra snack for you child each day), quiet time, homework (if not finished from the night before), games, occasional crafts, and gross motor play.

The hours for the morning program are from 6:30 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. for our Shaw students (they will get on the bus at Elmwood and travel up the hill.), 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. for grades K – 3 p.m. and 6:30 until 9:00 for our preschoolers. The rate for the morning program is $7 a day for Shaw and $10 a day for Elmwood. Payments can be made using checks (made out to the Millbury Public Schools) or by using the Unipay online payment link which can be found on the Millbury Public School’s Website. (Please note: as of August 2019 cash will no longer be accepted as a form of payment)

If you are interested in registering your child for morning care, please fill out the registration form and pay the $10 registration fee. There are always spots available; however, it is always best to register before the start of the school year.
