Aftercare Program

The Millbury Aftercare Program operates out of two sites. The Elmwood Street School site is designated for students in pre K (age 4 only) through grade three. The director for Elmwood is Michelle Gauthier. She can be reached by email: mgauthier@millburyschools.org or by phone 508 – 865 – 5241.

The staff at the Aftercare Program is a mix of adults, young adults, and high school students that have a passion for childcare. They take pride in their work and your child’s safety and well being is their top priority.

The Aftercare program provides assistance with homework, social interactions and a safe environment for your child (ren) during the crucial afterschool hours. A typical day at Aftercare includes: snack time (please pack an extra snack for you child each day), exercise, homework, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. The children are also allowed to read, play board games, use the Wii, play with blocks and engage in many other fun activities. Additionally, the students have access to the gym, the computer room and the playground and they occasionally watch a movie.

The hours for the aftercare program are from 2:50 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The rates of the program are $18 a day (2 days or less) and $50 a week. (3 days or more). Payments can be made using checks made out to the Millbury Public Schools or by using the Unipay online payment link which can be found on the Millbury Public School’s Website. (Please note: as of August 2019 cash will no longer be accepted as a form of payment)
