Millburn Middle School Back-to-School Nights:

6th Grade/New -to District Student Building Tours August 20-22, 2024 - By appointment,
The Middle School will be open by appointment only on August 20-22, 2024, between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Peer Leaders will be available to tour the building with 6th-grade students. Please sign up for a tour using this Registration Form. Students are encouraged to practice opening and closing their lockers using their locker combinations after their tour. The building will also be open Monday and Tuesday, August 26 & 27, 2024; however, we will not have Peer Leader Tours. The Middle School will be closed to students and parents on Wednesday and, August 28, 2024, for teacher meetings and preparation and Thursday, August 29, 2024, for the 6th Grade Transition Day and teacher preparation.

MMS Traffic & Drop-Off/Pick-up Information (Click Here)
Early Morning Drop-off at MMS is available daily in the Cafeteria from 7:00 am to 7:45 am. There is a faculty Supervisor assigned to monitor students during that period. Students are to come down the outside staircase, accessible from the Haddonfield Drop off area, and enter the new cafeteria using door #16B. Note: Students must remain in the Cafeteria Only during that period unless they have an appointment with the teacher.
Student Attendance: If your child is late to school, absent, or requires an early dismissal please notify the Attendance Office via phone (973)379-2600 ext. 20002 or email at mmsattendance@millburn.org . Note: Email is preferred.
Visits to the School
Visits to MMS: Parents and Guardians are encouraged to be an active part of their child's education, and with that will come the need to visit the school to tend to school business. To meet your needs better, please make an appointment with the right school personnel before visiting MMS. Please avoid unannounced visits to MMS.
Dropping Off Items:
We recognize that on rare occasions, students will forget an item(s). Please only drop items off that are essential. Dropped-off items are to be labeled with the student's name and grade, and placed in the bin outside Door #21; please ring the bell and let the office know that an item has been dropped off. The office staff will place any dropped-off items in the appropriate Grade Level baskets in the main lobby under the monitor. Students are expected to pick up dropped-off items that they are expecting; dropped-off items will not be delivered to individual students.
SAM Program: The SAM After School Program, located at Glenwood, is available to all district families, elementary school through middle school. Transportation from Deerfield, Hartshorn, South Mountain, Wyoming, Washington, and Millburn Middle Schools is provided.
SAM also offers Before School Care for Glenwood students.
In addition, SAM holds Field Trips on school Vacation Days, available to all township students, on a drop-in or registered basis.
