Rotate & Drop Schedule

Students are scheduled for (8) periods: (4) Core Academic: Math, ELA, Sci. and S.S., (1) World Language or Support Class, H&PE, and (2) Related Arts)

There are (6) academic blocks in our school day schedule plus a 72 min split period where students receive a 36 min Lunch and 36 min Study Hall.

• During Lunch Block A/B, students will be assigned to either Lunch or Study Hall.

6 of the 8 periods rotate through 2 rotations - morning and afternoon

• Morning Rotations: Periods 1-4 rotate through blocks 1-3 and

• Afternoon Rotation: Periods 5-8 rotate through blocks 4-6 with

• Each rotation (Morning/Afternoon) has one period that drops each day, thus there are 2 dropped periods on any given day.

Blocks are 52 minutes long except for Block 1, which is 54 minutes, and Lunch Block A/B, which are 36 minutes, respectively

Classes cascade through the morning and afternoon rotations, respectively. A student's schedule for any given day is based on the day’s letter designation which determines what periods meet, what period drops and the sequence in which periods meet.
