Golden Rule Tools - These techniques can be used to stand up to mean/bullying behaviors -
The Bullies to Buddies Golden Rule Power Toolbox
1. Ask yourself, “Do I believe it?” If so, talk to someone about it. 2. Agree/Change the subject
3. Give them a compliment
4. Shrug or say, “Huh..”
5. Use humor (Not sarcasm)/Laugh at yourself 6. Ask a question or ask for advice
7. Give them permission to insult or exclude you 8. Ask them, “Do you believe it?”
9. Say, “You’re so lucky that...” 10. Ask, “Are you mad at me?”
Remember: Don’t get upset!! If you do, they win!
