Options Form 2023
Below is the Year 8 Options Form for subjects beginning in September 2023. Please make sure to have a full discussion with your child, and that you read and understand the instructions before completing the form. Once completed your child will need to check their school email for confirmation.
The deadline for submitting options is 12pm on Friday 24th March 2023. You may edit your responses at any time up until this deadline.
The options form will appear below when logged in with a MHS pupil account. Only pupils can complete the options form.
INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the Subject Information pages and watch the videos on the Virtual Options site before making your choices - this can be found online at www.milfordhavenschool.co.uk/options
Please choose one subject from each option block, plus a reserve.
Where there is a restricted combination of two subjects it is clearly marked in the subject name, e.g. Fashion and Textiles & Product Design, you can only choose one of these subjects, not both.
Choose 1 reserve - your reserve must be different to your other choices and may be used if one of your chosen subjects does not run.
Courses will begin in September 2023 - changes to Options may be possible for the first half term only.
Please note: subjects may be combined or withdrawn should pupil uptake not be viable.

Once all options have been collated every pupil will have an "options interview" to discuss the suitability of their chosen subjects.
Along with options subjects pupils will also study English (Language and Literature as 2 GCSEs), Mathematics (Mathematics and Numeracy as 2 GCSEs), Science (Double Award unless opting for Triple Science), Ethics (Full course GCSE), Welsh (Full course GCSE), Welsh Baccalaureate and Games.
