Enhance skills (communication, time management, problem solving, and technology use.
Supervising and guiding the student throughout the internship.
Providing the student with relevant tasks and opportunities for observing and shadowing.
Sharing any pertinent knowledge and experience with the student.
Keeping in contact with the student’s program coordinator, Melissa Cacioppo. School representatives will make site visits.
Establish a schedule indicating when and where the intern is to report. This can be flexible to accommodate the site’s schedule and does not have to coincide with Joseph A. Foran High School’s typical hours of operation.
Monitoring the student’s weekly time log.
Formally evaluating the student twice during the internship through a Google Form
Minimum of 90 hours over four weeks
Students may not be compensated
Beginning the week of May 6 and continuing for 4 weeks (starting date subject to change with weather cancelations)
Interviewing the student during the initial site visit and reviewing his/her résumé
Complete mid and final evaluations
