MakerSpace
What is a MakerSpace? A MakerSpace is a collaborative workspace that focuses on creating, problem solving, and innovation. Students can access a variety of high and low tech materials to solve a problem or complete a challenge. A MakerSpace builds STEAM skills needed for the future. Students can hone their creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills through hands-on projects and materials.
The TLC is hoping to develop a program where students can access STEAM materials as part of a curriculum or during their study hall. We have some materials already and are looking for more.
Current stations available: puzzles, Qubits, bracelet making, and button making (see Ms. Mundy for button supplies).
Available by request only (see Ms. Mundy): Ozobots, duct tape art, Cricut, paper circuits.
Ms. Mundy is looking for more materials for purchase or donation! Please check the Amazon Wish List for things to purchase. Or she would love donations of the following:
Legos
Kinex
toilet paper and paper towel rolls
old newspapers
Ms. Mundy can be reached at kmundy@milforded.org.
