My philosophy is still in its infancy stages, but I know that collaboration within a practice, between multiple specialists and professionals is the direction I find most advantageous for the birthing community. I am excited to bring the expertise of many together to teach those interested in taking an active role in their care during the childbearing years. I find the humanistic and holistic models of care to be the most in tune with my style of care, currently. As time progresses, I am eager to build my understanding on the midwifery model of care as well to build on the philosophy of care I find most suitable for my practice.
It is my dream to build birthing houses within the communities, like Detroit, that bring compassionate and humanistic care to the families struggling to access safe maternity support. Specifically, the underrepresented communities such as BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ within my area.
I am accumulating my observations for the first phase of my clinical expectations. I hope you take pride in reviewing my professional and personal journey. I look forward to connecting with other midwives and professionals in the maternal-infant health field.
Goals grow with me and mold me through discipline. I am eager to keep growing!
My passion has always been to serve families. I am eager to learn how to serve women & all birthing people in a way that is collective and safe.
I achieve all that I choose to never stop working on, for, and toward.
