On behalf of the Midway Elementary, the PTO would like to announce the receipt of a grant in the amount of $29,200 from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Waste Management Program for playground scrap tire surface material.
On behalf of the Midway Elementary, the PTO would like to announce the receipt of a grant in the amount of $29,200 from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Waste Management Program for playground scrap tire surface material.
This grant will allow us to place 3 inch DuroMat Extended Life Playground Safety Tiles made out of 100% recycled Missouri tires underneath our new playground equipment. Our playground project will consume 11,600 pounds of Missouri scrap tires.

Recycled scrap tire surface tiles allow our playground to achieve ADA compliance, increase accessibility and improve playground safety with a reported reduction in injuries of 75%.
