COVID-19

The Midway RI School District is committed to providing a high-quality education in a clean and safe environment for students and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Staff members have been working throughout the summer to prepare for our students' return to school and learning in August. Given the fluidity of the COVID-19 pandemic, the plans we make a return to learn plan will need to be flexible to best meet the needs of our students, staff, and community. Please keep in mind that we will not be able to create the perfect plan, but the best plan that we can.

There are many things to consider as we determine the most appropriate path to re-entry this fall. The District has been working closely with and following the guidance of the Cass County Health Department, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Missouri School Boards Association (MSBA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as we prepare to welcome our students back to the classroom.

Our re-opening plan will include heightened levels of cleaning and disinfection, additional times for students and staff to practice hand hygiene, physical distancing where possible, and guidance on the use of personal protective equipment, and more.
