A two-day congress of invited talks, presentation and interaction
The West Bengal Science & Technology Congress was initiated in 1994 with a mission to foster a scientific mindset among the youth and to create a platform for researchers and scientists to exchange knowledge and discoveries. Its core objective is to drive progress in science and technology across the state. Over the years, it has grown into an annual event that gathers students, scientists, researchers, academicians, technocrats, and policymakers. This event serves as a vital forum for sharing new scientific ideas and innovations across diverse fields, aimed at benefiting society at large.
As part of the preparations for the 32nd West Bengal State Science & Technology Congress, the 7th Regional Science & Technology Congress is being organized across six regions in partnership with leading universities and colleges. This regional initiative aims to expand participation for aspiring researchers and scholars. Under the aegis of the Department of Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal, Midnapore College (Autonomous) will host the Regional Science & Technology Congress for Region 4, which includes the districts of Bankura, Jhargram, Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur and Purulia. The event is scheduled for January 3-4, 2025, and mirrors the structure of the state-level Congress, featuring technical sessions for research paper presentations by young researchers, memorial lectures, and invited talks that address pressing scientific challenges and their potential solutions. Selected participants from this regional event will be invited to present at the state-level Congress.
We invite Research Scholars, Scientists, Postgraduate Students, Academicians, Faculty Members of Colleges and Universities, Technologists, Industrialists, and Policy Makers to submit their abstracts for consideration. This Congress provides a valuable opportunity to showcase your research, exchange ideas, and connect with peers in an interdisciplinary setting.
