My programming journey began in the early 1980s, working with languages like Assembler, Pascal, and C to develop and migrate portfolio management and accounting systems across platforms—initially from Apple II to PC, and later from Macintosh to Windows. These early experiences laid a strong foundation in low-level programming, memory management, and cross-platform architecture. Over the decades, I’ve continuously expanded my expertise, from building unified C++ codebases for multi-OS environments to designing data pipelines using VBA, T-SQL, and SQL Server. My education has been driven by real-world challenges—automating data ingestion from telecom providers, constructing scalable APIs for financial systems, and integrating legacy software with modern web and cloud-based services. Today, my focus includes containerized infrastructure, distributed systems, and exploring the practical applications of generative AI and blockchain technologies. Whether self-taught, research-driven, or field-proven, my learning has always been deeply tied to solving complex, high-impact problems at the system level.
As part of my commitment to ongoing learning, I completed the MIT xPro Certificate in Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python. This course emphasized computational thinking, problem-solving techniques, and core programming concepts such as algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design—all through the lens of Python. It reinforced foundational computer science principles that continue to influence my approach to building efficient, maintainable systems.
I plan on taking a deep dive into the inner workings of the current Machine Learning technology.
As I "Refresh" my Calculus and Computer Science I plan to take "MITx: Machine Learning with Python: from Linear Models to Deep Learning."
