In the course Digital Illustration, students received formal instruction on how to use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other digital media in order to create dynamic and personally stylized artworks that both emote as well as communicate. Students were presented with prompts and ideas to engage their thinking and problem solving skills related to creating illustrations.
Ryan Foti has taught at YPS for over 13 years and has served in almost every role possible in the program.
He has taught every grade from k-12 but specializes in design and digital art making with high school students.
A bit of a magpie in regards to his own art making, Ryan typically trends towards the more fantastical parts of life and storytelling.
