This is a project that I created with the prompt of creating something political using found materials. I decided to focus on how a large part of society views trans people. This piece resonated with me a lot and in a way, id also consider it to be a self-portrait.

I often view myself as two people rather than one, often times i feel very disconnected to myself which results in a lot of self-hate and identity issues. In order to reflect these feelings, i created two puppets that looked like me beating each other up, inside a baren dirty house. You could say the house is a self-made prison, they could easly leave but they choose not to.

"Nightmare" Collage
For this project we were tasked to create a collage using found materials. This was one of my favorite projects that I had worked on this semester. I love surrealism and psychological horror, so I wanted to try to incorporate those themes into this piece.
This is a display of paper puppets that i created for my final project. I went through many tests when trying to create the finalized puppets. The small puppet in the center was the first one that i created, then i just upscaled the template that i created to make the big puppets. I had a lot of fun making these and I plan on using them in future projects as well as creating more.
New Media 4D final
I used the puppets that I created for my Color Design class in this animation. I used a green screen, and the stop motion camera set up at the "make cool stuff" lab to animate this guy.
I took this opportunity to experiment with mixed media as well as stop motion animation.
