Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal
Meet the requirements and criteria established for the readiness seal, including demonstration of work-readiness and professional competencies. Complete the required ODE OMJ form.
Industry-Recognized Credential Seal
Earn a 12-point industry-recognized credential or group of credentials totaling 12 points in a single career field.
College-Ready Seal
Earn remediation-free scores on the ACT or the SAT.
ACT: English 18, Reading 22, Mathematics 22
SAT: EBRW 480, Mathematics 530
Military Enlistment Seal
Students complete ONE of the following options:
Provide evidence (DD Form 4) that a student has enlisted in a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Participate in an approved JROTC program for at least 2 years.
Citizenship Seal
Students complete ONE of the following options:
Earn a proficient score of 3 or higher on both the American History and American Government end-of-course-exams.
Earn a score that is at least equivalent to proficient (2 or higher) on appropriate Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exams (AP US History and AP Government).
Earn a final course grade that is equivalent to a “B” or higher in appropriate classes taken through the College Credit Plus program.
Earn a final course grade of a B or higher in American History and Government.
**NOTE: Students may use a combination of options 1, 2, 3, or 4 to satisfy the American History and Government requirements. For example, a student may earn the Citizenship Seal by earning a score of a 3 on the US History EOCE and earning a course grade of a B in Government.
Science Seal
Students complete ONE of the following options:
Earn a proficient score of 3 or higher on the Biology end-of-course-exam.
Earn a score that is at least equivalent to proficient (2 or higher) on appropriate Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exams.
Earn a final course grade that is equivalent to a “B” or higher in appropriate classes taken through the College Credit Plus program.
Earn a final course grade of a B or higher in Advanced 3rd Year Science course (not Biology, Physical Science or Chemistry).
Honors Diploma Seal
Earn one of the six Honors Diplomas:
Academic Honors Diploma - Requirements listed in Step 1: Cover the Basics
International Baccalaureate Honors Diploma
Career-Tech Honors Diploma
STEM Honors Diploma
Arts Honors Diploma
Social Science and Civic Engagement Honors Diploma
For the Career-Tech, International Baccalaureate, STEM, Arts, or Civics and Social Sciences Honors Diploma, please work with the school counselor to create a plan to satisfy the requirements (specific credits, Field Experience and Portfolio).

Seal of Biliteracy
Meet the requirements and criteria, including proficiency requirements on assessments in English and a World Language (AP score or assessment approved by ODE).
Technology Seal
Students complete ONE of the following options:
Earn a score that is at least equivalent to proficient on an appropriate Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exam.
Earn a final course grade that is equivalent to a “B” or higher in an appropriate class taken through the College Credit Plus program.
Complete 1.0 credit in courses offered through the district or school that meets guidelines developed by the Department as listed in our Program of Studies.
Community Service Seal - LOCAL
Students complete ONE of the following options:
Complete 60 hours of community service during high school. Students must complete a Log of Hours signed off by the organization. Students must turn in their completed log to their school counselor.
Complete the Community Blood Center's Red Cord Honor Program by May 1 (https://givingblood.org/giving-back/recognition.aspx).
Earn 0.5 credit in Service Learning - offered Senior Year.
Earn credit in a "Life Skills" course.
Fine and Performing Arts Seal - LOCAL
Students complete ONE of the following options:
Earn 3 credits in Fine Arts.
Earn 2 credits in Fine Arts & participation in at least one Fine Arts related experience. Participation must be verified by the school.
A Fine Arts experience is defined as the following:
Participation in a performance, competition, or show (Choir and Band).
Submitting a piece for the art show, attending, or working at one of the following art shows:
Make a Difference Day Show - at the Community Center in downtown Burg in October
Holiday Hop Pop Up Art Show - at MHS Media Center in December
Miamisburg Guild Show - at Miamisburg Art Gallery which is throughout the entire month of March
District art show - at MHS in April/May
AP Art & Research Showcase - at MHS in the Aux Gym in May
Student Engagement Seal - LOCAL
Complete meaningful participation in two student groups/clubs, extracurriculars or sports seasons. For example: a student runs Cross Country and Track during their 9th grade year. Another example: a student completes two seasons of Bowling.
Note: Advisors/Coaches approve “good standing” on rosters. Students who are ineligible due to discipline or academic issues cannot count that season/year towards this seal.
