About Baja SAE

Baja SAE is a collegiate engineering competition organized by SAE International, where university teams design, build, and race single-seat, off-road vehicles capable of navigating rough terrain. The competition challenges students to apply real-world engineering, business, and project management skills in a rugged motorsports environment. Teams are evaluated on design, manufacturing, cost analysis, and dynamic performance through endurance races and technical inspections. Baja SAE provides students with hands-on experience that prepares them for careers in off-road vehicle design, automotive engineering, and related industries.
