The Rinella Learning Center helps students achieve their academic goals. They offer to help build academic skills and understand difficult material from your courses. They have a lot of resources such as tutoring, instruction, workshops, coaching, and more programs.
They offer scholarly pre-professional experiences for students as tutors, graduate student employees, and leaders. They also house the university's testing center, which provides testing accommodations for students with documented disabilities.
Are You Struggling?
If you are struggling, you can share your concerns with them, and they will respond to your request within 24 hours. They claim to do all they can in helping you address your situation, even if they're are not the best resource to help, they will assist you in getting connected with the right resources on campus. Throughout this process, they will maintain confidentiality; won't share any of your information unless you ask them to do so.
Academic Support Services and Programs
Their academic support service is catered to get students more involved in learning, higher levels of performance, develop critical thinking skills, and promote student accountability. They help students with current learning strategies and implement new ones. Learn more here: https://miamioh.edu/student-life/rinella-learning-center/academic-support/index.html
Testing Center
Testing services are available to all faculty members at Miami University through the Rinella Learning Center. Though, only students registered with Student Disability Services and who qualify for testing accommodations can take their exams through the RLC Testing Center.
Enrichment
Their enrichment programs help you connect with the resources you need to excel academically and complete your degrees. It can hard to navigate the structure here at Miami (and in College in general), but as a Scholastic Enhancement Program (SEP) student or Access Fellow, you can have a built-in support network to make the process easier.
Student Life
Miami University, Oxford, is a residential campus, with nearly all first- and second-year students living in residence halls. These halls provide an opportunity for students to live and learn with others who share their interests. With our inclusive environment and active student body, it's easy to see why The Princeton Review calls the campus a "vibrant, social atmosphere."
