Most birds were single-genus infected, followed by uninfected birds, with co-infected birds being the least common.

Hemoglobin varied by infection status (GLM: χ2 = 7.18, df = 2,p = 0.03). It did not differ between uninfected and infected birds (p = 0.90) but was lower in co-infected birds than both other groups (infected: p = 0.008; uninfected: p = 0.007).

Hematocrit did not differ between uninfected and singly-infected birds (p = 0.35) or between singly-infected and co-infected birds (p = 0.12). 

Blood glucose did not differ between uninfected and singly-infected birds or between singly-infected and co-infected birds.

Fat score did not differ between uninfected and singly-infected birds or between singly-infected and co-infected birds.
