Decoding Dissosteira: Genetic and Morphological Analysis of Species Boundaries

Undergraduate Research: In the Jezkova lab, I have been closely involved with the Miami University Oedipodinae Project (MUOP), which studies the phylogenetics and morphological divergence of grasshoppers in the subfamily Oedipodinae. I am trained in several wet lab techniques, including PCR, gel electrophoresis, forward and reverse sequencing, and cleanup. Along with wet lab, I have become heavily involved in bioinformatics within the lab, working to align sequences and use R to construct phylogenetic trees.
