*Undergraduate ResearcherThe Cusco region of Perú is an area located in the foothills where the Amazon rainforest meets the Andean mountains. Although this region is one of the most biodiverse areas in the world, the expanding extraction of resources for capital gain is affecting the health of both the people and the environment in this region. Consisting of eight interviews from different community members, these informal interviews aim to provide an insight on the changing state of their environment and allow avenues for the local community members to become involved in conservation efforts.
