MIAD's spookiest Tradition
The MIAD Halloween Party is the biggest and most anticipated event of the Fall semester. Students to hang out, play games, admire one another's costumes, chow down on snacks, and compete in the Costume Contest.
Planning for the Halloween Party begins at the start of the Fall semester. Student Party and the Student Engagement Team work together to do research, plan events, and hire volunteers to ensure the party is a success. The Halloween Party cannot happen without this collaboration and student involvement. Your excitement is what makes the Halloween Party a success!
Halloween Party Rules
All MIAD students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend.
All attendees are required to sign in at the reception desk.
All attendees must present a valid ID upon entry. MIAD students may use their MIAD student IDs.
MIAD students may bring outside guests, so long as they obey the following:
All guests are required to present a valid, government-issued ID upon entering the building.
Outside guests will receive a Guest Sticker. Outside guests must wear their Guest Sticker at all times.
Outside guests must be accompanied by a MIAD student at all times. Please do not wander alone.
Attendees may bring props with their costumes, so long as they obey the following:
Props must be attended to at all times. Do not set props down or leave them unattended. If you don't want to hold onto your prop, leave it at home.
Prop weapons are allowed. As long as props are unable to cause injury or harm to others, they may be permitted into the event.
An orange zip tie must be used to mark prop weapons. A Student Party volunteer will provide orange zip ties to place on prop weapons at sign-in. Prop weapons must be marked by a zip tie at all times to denote that they are fake.
Food may not be taken out of the Union. Please refrain from bringing food to other activities or outside the Union during the event.
All attendees are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct as outlined in the MIAD Student Handbook.
Failure to abide by these rules may result in removal from the event and MIAD premises.
