The challenge is doing the first detailed lesson plan, I have a lot of questions about it, because, some of the name parts are the same as the Indonesian lesson plan, but as I see the example, it is different so I have to adapt to that. The next challenge is time management, for both demo teaching, I still found it hard to teach for an hour. Also, I have to adapt to the flow of the detailed lesson plan. The other thing is the typhoon, I have not experienced the typhoon in my life and I never thought it would take a lot of time for the class. Actually, this is not a big challenge, but some of the students find it hard to explain mathematics terms in English, and they have to explain in Ilokano. The last challenge is saying goodbye to UNP and Philippines.Â
The overall impression, I would like to recommend this program and the school for my junior in university. I am so grateful for what I have and what happened at the University of Northern Philippines. The atmosphere of the school is comfortable and supports me in my growth to be a professional teacher. The school here I am talking about is not only the place but the buddies, the teachers, the students, and even the caretaker. Even though I found myself a little bit tired of adapting, with the support I received, I can pass it. I have another perception of teaching, I learn a lot about how teaching can be meaningful not only for the students but also for myself, which makes me want to teach more. It was an amazing experience and I would like to experience this again if I can.
