About the Teacher: My name is Mrs. Laudadio. This is my second year teaching first grade here at Most Holy Redeemer School. I had a wonderful school year last year where I watched my students learn so much and they made tremendous growth in their studies.

Later this month I will be married for 22 years. My husband's name is Joseph, and he works for the railroad. I have two children. My son's name is Matthew. He is in a transiton program. My daughter's name is Cassandra. She attends college at Eastern Illinois University. She is studying Early Childhood Education.

In my spare time I like to go on long walks and ride my bike. Both of these activities help me to be able to think and clear my head, as well as getting my exercise in. I am also a big Hallmark fan. Last month I went to the Hallmark Live Stars show and got to meet five Hallmark stars! That was so exciting for me.

I also work at JCPenney. I am in the Fine Jewelry Department. You can find me at the Orland Park location. If you or anyone you know ever need any jewelry, come on over and ask for Sharon. I work with children during the week and adults on the weekend.

I have been teaching my whole life, whether it be full time, substitute teaching, or a teacher's aide. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I wasn't teaching every day. To teach is to touch lives forever! I love having an impact on all my students. My Catholic faith helps me to continue to grow in a deeper relationship with God.

Classroom Policies

Homework will be given out Monday - Thursday evenings. It is expected that the homework be completed and returned to me the next day. The homework consists of an ELA worksheet which can be a Reading, Grammar, Phonics, or Spelling worksheet. It will also consist of a Math worksheet that is two sided or two separate Math worksheets depending where we are in our Math chapter.

If your child did not complete the homework by the due date, my expectation is that you email me or write a note to me explaining the reason why. The exceptions to this rule are if your child is absent, or if you are going out of town or on vacation. If your child is absent for one day, the work will be due the next day. If your child is absent for multiple days, I will let you know when the work is due depending on how many days your child is absent.

There may be a time when I ask you to bring in some classroom supplies if we are running low. Last year I was running very low on Kleenex. I will keep you informed if situations arise.

The papers will be graded as follows: The papers that are graded will have numbers on them like 18/20. Some of the papers that come home will just have a star or smiley face on them. Finally, some of the papers will have a DT on them , that means done together.
