Homeroom News:
Monday, September 28 is a 1:30 dismissal day, and a Dollar Dress Down day
Our warm-weather uniform window closes on Wednesday, September 30; students are expected to be in their standard school uniform starting on Thursday, October 1.
The Irons Oaks field trip is this Friday, October 2. Forms should all be turned in, but if you still have one, please send it in ASAP!
For the field trip, students should bring their lunch, wear comfortable athletic shoes and dress for the outdoors. We'll leave around 8:45am and return to school by about 2:00pm
Our Confirmation retreat day is Friday, October 23 in the gym.
As you look through the Confirmation packet that was sent home at the meeting on 9/16, if questions come up about any of it, feel free to send them my way. The School of Religion has let me know that there will be more info communicated soon about times to sign up for the EP food pantry as part of service hours.
Sixth Grade News:
Grammar: This week our class(es) will be studying pronouns, and how to ensure that pronouns in sentences agree with their verbs.
Writing Projects: Our class(es) will be writing short stories and then designing a book cover this week!
Seventh Grade News:
Grammar: We're continuing our look at the perfect and progressive verb tenses with some writing prompts, and will then review for a test at the end of the week
Writing Projects: Students are finishing their deleted scenes, which will be due at the end of the week.
Eighth Grade News:
Grammar: This week, we'll be reviewing strategies for success on the Verbal and Reading sections of the high school entrance exam
Writing Projects: Students will be finishing up their memoir vignettes this week. They've done some excellent work on these!
