Hello, MHR families! I'm very excited to welcome our junior high students to another school year, and I'm especially excited to shift into an 8th grade homeroom to help guide our 8th graders through all the exciting events coming this year - field trips, the high school entrance test, Confirmation and graduation. Don't blink - it's going to go by quickly!

To all our families who are new to junior high (and new to MHR!) this year - it's wonderful to meet you! Here's a bit of info about me:

• I’m from the Southwest Side, and went to St. Mary Star of the Sea School followed by St. Laurence High School

• If you look around my classroom, you’ll for sure see some things I love (the White Sox, Marquette University, the Beatles

• I also love playing music! I play bass guitar, and before I was an old guy I even played in bands

• I've worked in a variety of school settings, both at the teaching and administrative level, but teaching writing is my favorite part of working at a school. I think it's extremely important as a part of the high school preparation process!
