September
There are several benefits of drawing, specifically, it’s an excellent creativity booster that enhances overall brain health. Drawing engages both hemispheres of the brain, strengthens neural connections and contributes to overall cognitive performance.
When you draw regularly, your brain lights up with activity, sharpening mental agility and fostering creative thinking.
Drawing is much more than creating something beautiful to share with the world. It is an effective way to connect your mind, body and emotions through a medium that allows you to express thoughts and feelings.
Throughout the school year, my lessons have an emphasis on drawing. Classes will recognize and work with shapes, students will construct their drawings with observational skills.
Many of our projects include themes of the current season or a holiday theme. Creating memories in the classroom while working on a holiday art project helps learned skills while bringing a personal emotion into the artwork.
September will be a month of getting to know the students, and class room expectations while beginning projects.
