How to setup your MHRD Password

Section A: Changing your Password

NOTE: THIS CANNOT BE DONE ON YOUR CHROMEBOOK. You MUST change your password on another device (Another PC, cell phone etc.) prior to signing into your Chromebook.

1. Go to your account's Security Info Page: Click Here

2. Login with your provided Email address and Password.

3. Enter your provided password, and then a new password in the next two boxes - They must be at least 8 characters long and reasonably complex.

   1. • You may be warned that your password is too common or seen before. If that happens, avoid using common combinations like "password", "test", "1234" etc.

4. After typing your new password you may be met with a screen telling you that you're all set but that the system needs a moment. Wait 2 minutes and then move on to Section B.

NOTE: Your Password cannot contain common patterns like "1234" or words like "password" - it will be denied. If you get an error you must make your password more complex.

Section B: Establishing Self-Service Password Recovery Questions

1. Open an internet browser window

2. In the URL box, type https://aka.ms/ssprsetup and press enter

3. Enter your MHRD issued email and password you setup in Section A, or at any point previously, and log in

4. You have to set up at least ONE backup authentication method, either a phone number or security questions. It is not necessary to set up both.

5. Click the blue hyperlink next to your choice and follow the prompts. When you are done click Finish. You can now login to your Chromebook or Google account.
