Dear Morris Knolls Community,
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer with your family and friends. As we prepare to begin the 2026–2027 school year, we look forward to welcoming everyone back with renewed energy and optimism. A new school year brings new opportunities and new possibilities. Whether you are joining the Morris Knolls community for the first time or returning for another year, we are excited to begin this journey together.
As we approach the 2026 - 2027 school year, we are excited to introduce our theme for the year: Bring Your Best.
Simple in its words, yet powerful in its meaning, this theme reminds us that excellence is not about perfection. It is about effort, attitude, and growth. Bringing your best means arriving each day ready to learn, work hard, demonstrate kindness, persevere through challenges, and support those around you. It means choosing to make a positive difference in your classroom, on the field or stage, in the hallways, and throughout our community. When each of us commits to bringing our best, we help bring out the best in one another.
To our students: This is your year. Challenge yourself academically, get involved in our school community, step outside your comfort zone, and make every day count. Your best may look different from someone else's, but what matters is that you continue to grow and strive to become the best version of yourself.
To our families: Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Your encouragement, guidance, and involvement are essential to our students' success. Together, we can create an environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to bring their best each day.
To our staff: Thank you for the passion, dedication, and care you bring to Morris Knolls every day. Your commitment to our students creates opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom and I look forward to another year of working together to help every learner reach their full potential.
Throughout the year, we will celebrate the many ways our students and staff bring their best to Morris Knolls. Whether it is an academic achievement, an act of kindness, a championship performance, artistic excellence, leadership, or personal growth, these moments reflect the character and spirit of our school community.

Steps to take before the start of the school year:
Parents of returning students in grades 10–12 may review and update their demographic information in ASPEN beginning August 17, 2026. This process is only required if you have changes to make to information such as email addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, or policy agreements from previous years. To begin, click "Initiate" in the "Start a New Annual Student Information Update" section of ASPEN. If you have no changes to make to your contact information or policy agreements from previous years, you can skip this step.
Review all yearly public notices by clicking on the MK Policies and Information tab at the top of this site. You can review this information at your leisure. If any of the health forms apply to your student, you can print them and submit them to our Health Office. In addition, we have provided useful resources for the school year. Please click on the Resources tab on the top of this page for useful links, including access to our Student Handbook for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Parents and Guardians of students in grade 12 should log into MySchoolBucks and pay the annual chromebook fee of $27.50. For assistance, here is a tutorial video: Tutorial Video . Parents and Guardians of students in grade 9-11 will receive an invoice for the annual chromebook fee before the start of the school year. Once you receive the invoice via email, you can conveniently pay online using MySchoolBucks. Please note that fees will be waived for students who qualify for free or reduced meals.
Each student should complete the district summer reading assignment. Information regarding the assignment can be found here: MHRD Summer Assignment Site. (Please note that some of our advanced level courses might have additional summer assignments and information is located on the site.)
Be sure to check ASPEN for your scheduled bus route and information. Bus Information, including pick up times and locations, will be made available in ASPEN on Monday, August 10, 2026. Please click on the "Bus Ridership" tab at the top of the site for additional information. Students will need their ID to ride the bus throughout the school year. If you lost your ID, you may request a new ID using MySchoolBucks. 9th Grade Students will receive a temporary ID at Freshmen Orientation and use it until they are issued their permanent ID. Please note that bus routes and pick-up/drop-off times may be adjusted throughout the summer. We encourage all families to check Aspen the day before the first day of school to confirm the most up-to-date transportation information.
Students should check ASPEN for their class schedules. Student Schedules for Upperclassmen will be made available in ASPEN on Friday, August 21, 2026. 9th Grade students will receive their schedules at Freshmen Orientation on August 19th.
