National School Lunch Program: The Morris Hills Regional District participates in the National School Lunch Program. The program's objective is to provide nutritious, well-balanced meals for children in order to promote sound eating habits, foster good health, and academic achievement and to reinforce the nutrition education taught in the classroom.
Both Morris Hills and Morris Knolls High Schools offer breakfast and lunch each school day. Vending machines are also available for snacks and beverages.
Free/Reduced Eligible Households: Any student who is currently Free/Reduced Meal eligible will carry their benefits into the new school year for the first 30 school days. All families must reapply each year before that deadline. The District offers online applications: https://www.mhrd.org/our-district/food-service-programs/overview. All households will be notified once the new School Year's application has opened.
MySchoolBucks: This online payment system provides a quick and easy way to add money to your meal account using a credit/debit card or electronic check. You will be able to sign up for MySchoolBucks and add your child after you receive your parent portal credentials in August. At that time, you can sign up for a MySchoolBucks account here. If you already use MySchoolBucks with another child in a different school district, you can add MHRD to your existing account by logging in and selecting "add another district" in the top left corner. In either case, do not sign up until you have received your parent portal credentials in August.
