Read and annotate I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou. Please be prepared to participate in a Socratic Seminar and write the first draft of the HL Essay.
Preferred methods of annotating include using a Google Doc to track annotations or purchasing your own copy of the book to log your annotations on post-it notes. Another option is to utilize the free version of KAMI linked below alongside the digital text. You may also borrow a copy from the library and annotate using post-it notes. Please refer to the "Successful Annotating Page" for resources, tutorials, and expectations.
